We are pleased to announce the launch of the Special Issue"Additive Manufacturing, Metal Forming, and Structural Integrity of Metallic Components" in the international peer-reviewed journal Materials (MDPI). The Special Issue is now open for manuscript submissions, with a submission deadline of 20 March 2027. [mdpi.com]
The Special Issue aims to showcase recent advances in additive manufacturing, metal forming, laser-based processing, joining technologies, and the structural integrity assessment of metallic components. It seeks contributions that address process design and optimization, numerical simulation, experimental characterization, defect formation, fracture and fatigue behavior, as well as destructive and non-destructive testing methods for quality assurance. The editorial team includes Dr. Mariusz Król (Silesian University of Technology, Poland) as Guest Editor and Dr. Marko Kršulja (Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia) as Guest Editor Assistant. [mdpi.com]
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Researchers, academics, and industry professionals are warmly invited to submit original research articles, review papers, and short communications related to these fields. Contributions combining experimental research with computational or data-driven approaches, as well as studies demonstrating industrial applications, are particularly encouraged. [mdpi.com]
