Mag. Maja Dragan

FH Joanneum, Graz, Austria

Dr. Maja Dragan graduated from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Graz, where she currently holds a full professorship at FH Joanneum. Her research interests focus on industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and cyber-physical systems, which directly inform her primary teaching curriculum. Currently, she is mentoring four doctoral candidates. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and received the 2022 Austrian Innovation Award for Outstanding Research. Currently, she serves as the Principal Investigator for the Horizon Europe project SmartFactory-ID and is an active editorial board member of the Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing.

Assoc. Prof. Hasan Hasan Sözen

University of Ordu, Turkey

Dr. Hasan Hasan Sözen graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University and currently serves as an associate professor at the University of Ordu, Turkey. His research interests encompass machine learning, computer vision, and pattern recognition, bridging seamlessly into his core teaching competencies. Currently, he is actively supervising two PhD students. He has co-authored more than 45 scientific publications and was honored with the 2023 Turkish Academy of Sciences Outstanding Young Scientist Award. Currently, he coordinates a major TÜBİTAK national research initiative and serves as an Associate Editor for the Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering.

Assoc. Prof. Žiga Emeršič

University of Ljubljana, Slovenia

Dr. Žiga Emeršič graduated from the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, where he also holds the position of an assistant professor. His research interests include generative AI, deep learning and biometrics, which intersect with his teaching areas. Currently he is mentoring three PhD students. He has co-authored more than 60 research papers and received multiple awards for teaching and research, including the 2021 European Association for Biometrics Max Snijder Award. He is currently the Deputy Lead of an EU Horizon project, OnMoveID and is serving as a Associate Editor of ICT Express.
