Meeting of the EURAXESS National Network

On December 10, 2024, the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula hosted the meeting of the EURAXESS national network, organized in collaboration with the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU), which served as the event organizer. This was the first time the meeting was held outside Zagreb, marking an important step towards fostering connections and strengthening collaboration with institutions across Croatia.

The meeting brought together representatives of all EURAXESS network members in Croatia, providing a platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas on researcher mobility. The event commenced with opening remarks by Ana Ključarić, followed by a presentation by Ivan Makovec and Vesna Gugić, who gave an overview of the network's activities in 2024. Vesna Gugić specifically addressed the network's operational procedures and statistical monitoring of researcher mobility.

Associate Professor Rozana Veselica Celić, PhD, presented a best practice example of EURAXESS UNIPU, highlighting the role of the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula in strengthening the EURAXESS network. As the university’s local contact point, she emphasized the critical importance of collaboration at both local and national levels, as well as the university's active contribution to the network's development.

A portion of the meeting was dedicated to open discussions on the regulatory framework for researcher mobility and the implementation of the Charter and Code for Researchers. Experts from AMPEU and EURAXESS centers actively participated in these discussions, further underscoring the importance of joint action.

Participants also received an overview of new activities planned for 2024, including the ERA RM Roadmap and support for research managers. The event concluded with lunch and networking, further enhancing collaboration among attendees.

The meeting in Pula represents a significant step forward in connecting the EURAXESS network with institutions outside the capital, demonstrating a commitment to expanding the network and strengthening academic collaboration at both national and international levels.
